PRGF- Endoret (Plasma Rich in Growth Factors) facial rejuvenation treatments are one of the world’s best documented cosmetic procedures, with over 20 years of clinical data and supported by more than 70 scientific papers. At Belmore Facial Aesthetics Clinic, we are delighted to be able to offer this revolutionary treatment which utilises the plasma from your own blood to help slow down and reverse visible signs of aging.
PRGF works by extracting the growth factors and stem cells from your own plasma which we use in an all-natural treatment to push back the hand of time on your skin aging clock.
A small sample of blood is collected from the arm and placed into a centrifuge; this allows us to separate the plasma which contains proteins that speed up the tissue regeneration process. Once ready, the PRGF can be administered to the face, neck and hands using mesotherapy, a minimally invasive treatment involving micro-injections delivered directly to the mesoderm (middle layer of skin). Mesotherapy requires a very fine needle which results in a short pain free session. The injected plasma contains proteins which feature biological activity, stimulating tissue regeneration, increasing the skin’s thickness, smoothness, and luminosity, resulting in a refreshed and youthful appearance.
No contraindications or allergies are present as the treatment is carried out using product that comes from your own body
You may notice some very slight bruising or feel some discomfort but any side effects should be very mild, temporary, and easily managed.
There is no risk of allergic reaction as the plasma is obtained entirely out of your own blood. PRGF-Endoret is 100% natural, whereas some other PRP systems use animal products to activate the plasma.
More than half a million patients have been treated with PRGF-Endoret technology without a single adverse outcome reported. Many famous sports people, such as Rafael Nadal, Tiger Woods, Ronaldo, and Xavi have benefited from the advantages of this technique in accelerating healing, allowing them to go on with their careers much sooner than traditional treatment would.
There are generally no unsuitable patients for PRGF as it is a fully natural treatment. We would generally recommend PRGF is used on a preventative level to slow the aging process from around the age of 30, or from 45 with regenerative and corrective purposes.
For the initial treatment it is recommended to carry out three sessions in the first three months. Subsequently, the process is personalised depending on each patient, with between 1 to 3 annual sessions recommended.
